What if it's time to finally write that book?
How many times in your life have you considered writing a book? Is there a story that has been on your heart for a while now, but you just aren't sure how to get it out and on paper?
I have wanted to write a book for as long as I can remember. The first book I wrote was in 2022 and it still sits in my drive, unpublished! The doubt that surrounds that story is so heavy, it has stopped me from even reading it again.
In 2024, I published my first book, Authentically Anchored, which was a non-fiction book and a bit easier for me to get out than the fiction book I had written. After that came out, I decided to try writing fiction again, and again, I abandoned it to write a second non-fiction book, Braver with Belief.
I share this with you to show that you aren't alone in your fears surrounding writing and publishing a book. Even I struggle (still!).
That's why I formed a free writer's workshop called November to New Year.
This workshop was designed to help you work on developing new habits to help you achieve your goal of becoming a published author. Enrollment is currently open now through September 27, 2025. We begin on October 1, 2025 with planning and plotting our project. Then from November 1-December 31, we will focus on putting words to paper with the hopes of having a final messy rough first draft. The idea here isn't to edit as you go, it's to get the story out of your head and onto paper.
Then, in January, we will celebrate all your hard work and come up with the plan of action to determine what is next.
Because our group has found great guidance in this workshop, I have continued hosting monthly meetings with the writer's group in the off-season. We check in, give updates, ask for help where needed, and participate in timed writing/editing sprints.
It's all completely free to participate. The only thing it costs is your time and dedication to your project.
I would love it if you would join us this year!
