The year is 2023, it’s almost the end of January already and I am finally launching my blog. The last several years have been a whirlwind of reflection and a deep look into my life. I have removed that which no longer serves me (including relationships that became broken), added in new habits that continually help me to become my highest self, spent time in nature (who knew I would actually enjoy camping in an RV?!), and worked on strengthening relationships with those who continued to pour into me.
In 2022, I participated in NaNoWriMo in November (I’m currently wearing my winners shirt now), and wrote my first novel – a romance. I honestly went into NaNoWriMo with zero expectations on myself other than try to write, put words to the story, do my best, show up, repeat. What I found was I released some creativity blocks, learned to love writing again, and despite the fact that the rest of my life was either on hold or falling seriously behind, I got my first glimpse of what writing could mean for me.
Turns out, I’m not half bad I love writing.
I also discovered that I am enough, I am worthy and I am capable of inspiring others to chase their big dreams…but only if I choose to step out in faith, be bold and share from my heart. So, friends, here I am, I started with a big dream, I planned it all out and now, I’m doing it scared. Won’t you come with me?
All my best, Shonda.
